How do I download an e-book?

  • Log in to the Black Country Libraries e-book website using your library card number and PIN. (please note a capital X needs to be used)
  • Follow directions on the website to install Adobe digital editions.
  • You can browse the e-books before you make your selection.
  • You are allowed a maximum of 5 books at one time.
  • You can choose a loan period of between 1 day and 21 days. E-books cannot be returned early. They will disappear off your device after the loan period ends.
  • If the book you require is on loan to another customer, you can reserve it free of charge.

Can I download on to a library computer?

  • Unfortunately you will not be able to download on to a library PC, but you can use our Wi-Fi network at any Walsall library.

  • Go to RBdigital
  • RBdigital  and Create an account using your library card number.
  • Follow directions on the website to install RBdigital media manager.
  • You are allowed a maximum of 10 books at one time.
  • You can have the books for 21 days. They will disappear off your device after the loan period ends.
  • If the book you require is on loan to another customer, you can reserve it free of charge.

E-comics/graphic novels

  • Go to ComicsPlus and create an account using your library card number.
  • If you have a Zinio (e-magazines) account you can use the same log in details.
